Merry Crimbo!! Version 0.1.1 is Live!!
It's the holiday season, and to celebrate, this update introduces three brand-new costumes themed around this festive time of year!
We want to take this time to thank you all for all your love and support throughout this year. 2022 has been the best year for Duels of Fortune by far. Aside from the obvious event of the game's Early Access release, which was a surprisingly huge success for us, we also had the massive and extremely surreal honour of showing our game at EVO 2022, which drew in tons of new fans and helped grow the game in time for release. We've made tons of progress this year as well, both on the development side and in terms of our plans for the future. Going into 2023, we hope to really make a start on those plans (because BOY do we have some big ones!) and make next year our biggest one yet!
With that being said, we wish you all a happy holidays, and a happy new year! Thank you all so much for-to playing our game!

Break Burst/Misc. | Bug Fix | Fixed an issue where Break Bursts, and other moves with a special whiff-recovery animation, would play said animation even on hit if the opponent recovered fast enough |
Grabs | Bug Fix | Fixed an issue where grabbed players would sometimes be in the wrong animation state |
Super Attacks | Bug Fix | Fixed an issue where Super cinematics could override the fadeout effect from returning to the main menu mid-match |
Silly Physics Mode | Bug Fix | Fixed an issue where players would not fall through ERROR's void Teleport(); portal in Silly Physics Mode |
Miscellaneous | Fix | Added a failsafe to prevent players from falling below the stage on non-Ringout stages. If a player somehow manages to clip below the stage, they will now be snapped back up to ground level as soon as they enter their recovery animation |
Character Select | Bug Fix | Fixed an issue where the SFX for returning to the main menu from the character select was not affected by volume settings |
NEW STAGE VARIANT | !!! | Added new stage variant: Office Block (After Hours) (To unlock: Beat the Mission "Overtime") |
The Flying Swordsman | Bug Fix | Fixed an issue where parts of the stage would clip through the fadeout effect used for exiting the match and changing rounds |
Euterpe's Cradle | Change | The rain effect now counts as an NPC, and will thus be disabled if NPCs are turned off in the graphics settings |
Mission Mode | Addition | Added 4 new Missions: - Overtime - Meat vs Metal - Cain the Cane - Heavy Blizzard |
Mission Mode | Fix | Prevented the player from being able to select a Mission while backing out of Mission Mode |
Mission Mode | Fix | Prevented the player from being able to back out of Mission Mode while a Mission is loading. This fixes a major issue where two Missions could be loaded simultaneously, causing the game to be effectively unplayable |
Training Mode | Bug Fix | Fixed an issue where resetting just as a grab connected would cause the next use of the grab to instantly skip to the throw animation |
Minigames | Bug Fix | Fixed an issue where the SFX for the barrel breaking was not affected by volume settings |
Combo Trials | Fix | Fixed an oversight in which the button prompt for closing text boxes did not match the actual button used for this action |
