More Fixes! Version 0.10.2 Is Live!


Hey Duelists! This update fixes a good number of bugs and other issues that unfortunately slipped through our fingers last time (and some that have been present for quite a while). Thank you to everyone who has been reporting these bugs in our Discord!


Here are the full patch notes:



Grabbing Attacks

  • All grabbing attacks now disable the unique collision handling that is present in the corner, as many of them would completely break if used in the corner

Knockdown State

  • Updated the collision handling for opponents who are knocked down. If they are on top of a standing character, the direction they will be pushed out is now based on their relative position rather than their facing direction (i.e. if they are left of the standing player, they will be pushed left). This makes the collision much more intuitive, but may affect some corner combos



Lore Journal

  • Fixed several grammar and formatting errors across various lore entries
  • Rewrote a small section of Shoto’s lore entry



Training Mode

  • The “Ready? Fight!” prompt at the start of a match no longer appears in Training Mode
  • Fixed an issue where the dummy’s blocking type wouldn’t update if they were set to Jump
  • Dummies that are set to both Jump and Block will now properly jump and block at the same time. Like a normal player, they will be vulnerable during pre-jump frames

Combo Trials

  • The “Ready? Fight!” prompt at the start of a match no longer appears in Combo Trials
  • Fixed an issue where, if a trial had info text at the start, loading into it directly from the Character Select and skipping the prompt would cause certain properties and game elements to fail to initialize, sometimes even breaking the physics engine
  • Master Locks Trial 04: Adjusted the starting positions of Locks and Punching Bag to make the trial less demanding



Stage Select

  • Reorganized the stage selection screen to accommodate a new stage coming in a later update

Duels of Fortune Arena

  • Fixed an issue where, if player 1 was Shoto and player 2 was any fighter that appeared in the background, the corresponding background character wouldn’t be removed



Forward Run

  • Fixed an issue where Clyde would sometimes slide backward if he ended the run just as he switched sides

Brightstar Barrage (Down Super)

  • Fixed an issue where, when using the normal version of the Super, Clyde would sometimes appear in front of the opponent if used in the corner



Throw

  • Adjusted Shoto’s collision during the move so that, if used when Shoto is backed into the corner, it doesn’t appear as if he’s throwing the opponent through the wall



Spinecracker (Back Heavy)

  • The move now fully stops Red’s momentum when used
  • Red will no longer receive corner pushback on the throw hit



Relocate (Neutral Special)

  • Fixed an issue where the move wouldn’t consistently teleport you to where the reticle would suggest when teleporting into the corner



Full House Mode

  • The projectile shield is now disabled when Sylvan is in hitstun



Gelatinous Shadow (Neutral Special)

  • Fixed an issue where this move could still steal the corner from opponents with wider collision boxes (i.e. Baron)



Meter Burner (Neutral Super)

  • To improve visual clarity, Doodle is now moved slightly backward if he uses the move close to the corner

Miscellaneous

  • Fixed an issue where jumping and using a Super at the same time would result in Doodle consuming the Super Meter but not performing the move



Teleblob (Hold Down Special, with Active Blob)

  • Fixed an issue where teleporting to a blob that was behind the opponent while they were in the corner resulted in both characters’ positions being inconsistent



The Mask

  • Fixed an issue where the Mask’s  Neutral Super would sometimes leave the opponent standing instead of knocked down
  • Fixed an issue where the screen-wrapping move wouldn’t consistently steal the corner

Zorb

  • Fixed an issue where Zorb’s  Down Super could be cancelled with Blast Burst during the cinematic follow-up

Gigatron

  • Fixed an issue where Crouching Medium wouldn’t correctly cause a wall bounce if used too close to the corner

Tiny Evil Clyde

  • Fixed an issue where the teleport Super wouldn’t consistently steal the corner

The Pill

  • Fixed an issue where the boss' intro animation played in Training Mode
